Head Krstičević met with representatives of the Croatian minority from Hungary, Austria and Slovakia
mr.sc. Daria Krstičević, Head of the State Office for Croats abroad met with representatives of the Association of Croats from Hungary, Austria and Slovakia in Šopron.
During the meeting, they discussed the most important issues of interest for further action and survival Burgenland Croats in three neighboring states.
Head Krstičević thanked Burgenland Croats for their effort to preservation and promotion of Croatian identity and Croatian culture, language and customs on the areas of three countries: Hungary, Austria and Slovakia, through nearly five centuries. She introduced them to the work and activities of the State Office and invited them to the resolution of any existing open questions address the State Office as a central body to strengthen and coordinate relations with the Croatian community in the world.
Representatives of Burgenland Croats are announced and organize fortnightly caravans of horses and horse-drawn carriages, called "On our old track," which will go first July 2013., from Croatian to Slovenia, Austria, Slovakia and Hungary and, in this way also symbolically mark the Croatian entry into the EU. The reason for this event is the 480th anniversary of the arrival of the Croats in Burgenland.
During a visit to Sopron, head Krstičević was attended shooting HTV show Lijepom našom that was shot in Sopron occasion of 480th Anniversary of the arrival of the Croats in Burgenland.
