State Office for Croats abroad gave support to the Folk festival group of the Croatian Fraternal Union
Mr.sc Daria Krsticevic, Head of the State Office for Croats abroad received Zlatko John Čaldarević, the president of the Zagreb branch of the Croatian Fraternal Union, the oldest and largest organization of American and Canadian Croats.
Theme of the meeting was how to improve cooperation modalities between home country and immigrants in North America and strengthening ties in all fields. In this context, head Krstičević gave full support to the upcoming festival folk group of the Croatian Fraternal Union, which will be held from 5th Zagreb - 7 July this year.
Mr. Čaldarević reminded that it is a traditional gathering of a large number of folk groups of Croats from different cities of U.S. and Canada. The festival is being held for several decades and is one of the greatest achievements in the preservation of Croatian traditional culture, said the president of the Zagreb branch HBZa and announced the arrival of 16 dance groups from the U.S. and Canada.
Head Krstičević thanked the members of the Croatian Fraternal Union for everything they have done and do for the Croatians in the U.S. and Canada, but also for the support that thay provided to the Republic of Croatia, which was particularly important during the recent war, "The Croatian Fraternal Union has done a lot in the promotion of Croatian and her reputation in the world.
